Welcome from MD.
Welcome from MD. This area seems to be pretty well represented here on HF. You should drop by one of the hangs, even if you don't plan on staying the night. If you didn't see it, there is a NoVa...
Thanks uphill. I have no idea if I'll be able to make it, but will certainly try.
The old singers work great for our DIY gear. That could be a really nice machine, it depends on the condition of the internals. There are a lot of online resources for the old Singers.
Here are 2...
The MD hang discussion was in this thread : https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/showthread.php/75759-Maryland-Hangers?highlight=maryland. --look around post 120 I think.

Hi John, welcome from another MD'er. You are just in time for the best hanging weather. There are quite a few Marylanders here on HF and there is some talk of a get together in the near future....
I went from a WBBB to a TBird and simple diy gathered end, BUT I'm 6'0 tall and I had the older 10' WB AND my TBird is 11' and wide.
I just recently sold my BB and it was very hard to let go. It...
Hey Lamboy - I have a 20 deg incubator (standard size) you can take a look at to see how it fits when you get the bridge-not sure if that helps time wise, but I'm right down the road.
Same story here. I have a mildly bothersome back. It gets pretty sore after about 7-8 hrs in a bed. I can spend much, much longer time in the hammock--those winter nights are long and the mornings...
Also, I think you can get paypal to transfer funds to your bank account or issue a check (probably for a fee, of course)
Wow, thank you for sharing that, just beautiful.
+1 to shug (suprise).
If you want a true 30deg quilt you need to talk to adam and order it as a 30 deg, so that the baffle height is increased. That is what really affects the temp rating.

Love this stuff and glad to get the extra width.
I finished a 66" wide 11' hammock today. I found the full 72" was a bit much and ended up flopping over the tops of my feet (I'm 6').
Mods please close
sold pending funds to 94hokies
price dropped to $140
I’m finally selling my WarBonnet Blackbird.
It is a 10’ double layer 1.1 in a dark olive green that I purchased new back in May 2011. It is the older version with the solid...
+1 on not counting your labor costs, you should be doing this because you want to or just plain enjoy it.
But don't minimize the cost of the many small items that often go into a quit - grosgrain,...
-sorry for the off topic post-this was in response to TominMN's post-
One vendor was making some wide hammocks before a wide fabric came out.
It works really well. The seam is really not...

This should give you the posts.
Yours shows 60 (!) pages of posts, back to 2012. I'm not sure if you can get...
I saw the video too, but don't recall ever seeing it on the site, hmmm.
Have you checked out the BBO by AHE - The_Bear_Burrito_Oven.html ?
That would be nice to chronicle someone's experience but how are we going to know about that super awesome, ground breaking DIY project that someone just wrote up in their blog but didn't make a...
Has anybody tried the 2QZQ peak bag? You could place it at the head end, it should keep everything high enough and out of your way and you could get by with a much shorter hose length.
It is nice to see HF trying out something new.
I do hope that those who choose to use the blogs continue to post their hammock related stuff to the forums and not just to their personal blogs. I...
Here is a another video of the modified double fisherman's slider. It was posted by Chickenwing a while back. Your pull loop is a nice modification.
I don't know about little bennett and hammocks but they do show a hanger (next to a tent) on the web page. My bigger gripe is the price --$21 plus some tax/fees if I recall correctly.
2 good choices for light wt, hammock suitable fabrics

Nice job !!
Welcome from another MD'er, waiting for the cooler months before I head out again.
Looks good and great first post.
What fabric did you use, I like the pairing
You are welcome and good luck. Be sure to post pictures as you go along.
I think Xtrekker has some videos on his site as well for additional help -check his signature.

Hi and welcome from another MD'er.
Welcome from another MD'er. Hope to see you around.
Kevin, you know it's like 100 degrees out right? And there are bugs out. Are you sure you didn't want to post this in the fall :) ?
Hit me up in Oct, I'd love to come along.
Great trip report SWAT. Thanks for taking us along.
So heavier foot on the go pedal = faster sewing right?
Hope you heal quickly.
Count me in and welcome back to the just-for-fun, do-as-you-please crowd.
Have you looked at the Argon pages on Dutch's site, or searched threads like this: Show-off-your-incubator-pheonix! .
Those two are a good start and there are plenty more out there
Welcome to HF and can't wait to see some your pictures.
I wanted to go back to the 'tapering' of the foot baffles - It looks like you are building a full length quilt. If you are planning for colder weather, isn't that going to lower...
Thanks for the replies, all good info.
Great question ;), but a hard one to answer.
I can't say for certain that it makes a difference. I think it does, and since I took the time to shape my baffles-I want it to, and it makes sense that...
KSB - hope it isn't a thread derail, but how do you like the .67 from RSBTR? Any second thoughts about not spending the extra for the .5o?
I think that the smallest continuous loop is ~ 8" long if following the Samson guidelines. BUT, you can loop it twice. That will take up a lot of that extra length.
Thanks for posting, It is always great to see new designs/ideas here.
I think WV showed another version of a lounger several years ago at one of the MAHHAs, I'm not sure if he ever posted pictures...
Hand stuffed down into a bunch of newspaper bags inside the down garbage bag, tied them off, weighed and marked each one. Combined different bags until each group = ~ 1oz.. The newspaper bags were...
I find that when trying to place the button holes near the edge of a light fabric this often happens.
I also have a zig-zag plate (slot, instead of a single hole for the needle) and that will make...
Yep, and of course you can always larkshead them together for extra length.
