I have always used Clark Hammocks. But they keep improving their designs. So I just placed and order for all new hammocks. 270TX, 270NX and Ultra VX. Maybe they will stop with the improvements and...
I am really not sure why the Atlas Straps aren't talked about more. I have tried almost every hanging system possible and have pretty much gone to Atlas Straps on all my hammocks. Just too simple. ...
Got the VX today and could not wait to get home and hang it......
The beds are a lot smaller than my TX and NX 270. About the size of my original North American. You need trees on the head end at...
Yea it's not like I needed this one....but since I can....
Well they reeled me in today....lol. I got an e-mail saying I had some bonus for buying so many Clark's. So I callled and now have a camo VX2 with Z-liners on the way. At least I saved a few bucks.
I so want a VX2 but I already have 5 Clark's.....hmmm.
That's what it is with me. I still stop by almost every day but rarely post...I learned a lot here quickly and I am thankful for that. I wound up with about 15 hammocks and use about 5 of them most...
I'd be interested depending on time....
Well if you do the kayak fishing thing, we need to get together and hang and fish.
And you have Fort McAllister right next door. A great place to hang and fish.
No, not hoodlums...hunters that are exercising their rights to hunt. In fact those national forest probably would not be there and certainly no WMAs would be there if it weren't for hunters. Until...
Most all of Georgia's state Parks now allow hammocks. Several good ones along the coast. A word about Savannah, yes it is beautiful. And yes there are some nice places. But it also has become...
I know the feeling. I think I have 6 Clarkes right now. I have about 15 hammocks total....yea I am a junkie.
We are talking ounces here....I use a continuous loop thru the ends of the hammock, a light weight carabiner and Atlas straps. Simple.
I have several Clark's including a relatively new TX 270. I just don't have a Flex180....yet. So looking at that one. I have most all,of their, other ones. Well no vertex with but I have no reason...
Anybody have this hammock?
I did the same, being from Georgia also. But I ordered mine at the time when the under cover was free with the order.
After years of doing this and lots of trying different hammocks and suspensions, I hove gone to Atlas Straps for all my hammocks. It just is too simple and fits with every hammock I have.
Over the years, I have tried them all. Lately I have been using the ENO Atlas straps. It's so simple a kid can do it. It's quick and simple. I am in the process of changing all 11 of my hammocks...
A mid day turkey hunt nap.

I feel so sorry for you guys up north. It was 93 here today.
I stopped at 11, but if I run across one I want, I will have 12....or 13....or 14....
I use a Frog Togg Chill PAd and lay it on my chest.
I love mine as well.
Hello from another middle Georgia hanger, just north of you. Georgia has become a pretty acceptable place to hang now. Most state parks allow it wil straps.
There is also the new Chattahoochee Bend State park over on the hooch near you. Not a hike in but the have hammock specific camp sights.
When I first got into hanging, whoopies were all the rage. And I went for them. Partially because of the stock ropes my Clark came with. But then I saw the new Atlas straps from ENO. They may not...
Have you guys found the need to seam seal your tarps from Clark?
Hi from south of Atlanta.
Got my new Camo NX 270 Friday with the Camo Z Liner and spent a great week no hunting and camping. Unfortunately the weather was not cold enough to really test the warmth. But the rig is Oh so...
I have 11 with a new Clark NX 270 due tomorrow.
Yep ordered a Camo NX 270 today. Just in time for deer season camping.
Welcome from south of Atlanta.
I can't wait to get one this weekend. Looking forward to it.
This is exactly what I need for my kayak and camping trips. Adding in the lights and battery box would be perfect. Any "pro deals"?
Was good to meet you last week Charlie. Did not get a ch ace to ride through the campgrounds due to how late I got off the lake. But I will be back.
A Prusik would not hold for me but a Klemheist did.
I like camo because I like to blend in as much as possible when camping which is usually in the woods. That being said hammocks have a real challenge when trying to blend in. They are horizontal...
I will put it on my calendar. BTW, I fish Oconee a good bit. Normally I just drive over but if GP allows hanging I may try and stay some this summer. Do they allow hanging in their parks?
Charlie,
Does Ga Power allow hanging in their camp grounds year round? I fish Oconee a lot. Normally I just drive over since I am only an hour away but if I could hang I may like to stay for a few...
I'll be hanging in a Camo TX 250.
Yes I will be hanging this weekend for the opening of turkey season here I Georgia.
My fishing expeditions is what allowed me to find hammocks. I camp and fish from kayaks every weekend almost. Got tired of tents and wet uneven ground. Now I hang above it.
Welcome from the middle part of Georgia.
Welcome from just a little above you but still south of Atlanta.
Welcome form south of Atlanta.
^^^^^^This
This is the problem with all this "green" stuff. It starts off as a good idea and gets way out of hand.
Welcome from Georgia.
Welcome from the middle of the state.
Hmmm, can I make this? We'll see.
