Looks good. I think I may want to get the Zpacks tarp in the future.
Does anyone know if there are any lighter tapes that will still waterproof and reinforce the stiching?

Nice! Website says 5.1 oz. weight. I realize that's only a .3 oz. difference ... haha, but did request anything special to bring the weight down, or did you just get lucky?
I emailed Joe a few...
I had also emailed Brandon. He got back to me and says that the ridgeline is very similar to Dynaglide. Same diameter and material. So weight savings wouldn't really exist.
Couple grams maybe :)
Thanks! Gonna swap it out for Dynaglide.
Does anyone know what the cord the Warbonnet ships with for its ridgeline? It's silver and relatively thick, but I don't really know for sure.
Thanks!
True,
I work at REI and own 4 of the Nano 23. Use and love them for my car camping setup, but wouldn't use them for backpacking. Too "heavy" :D
I think for a toggle though, you could use an...
Thanks Garg!
I hadn't thought of the mini caribiner option. I'll have to head to REI and weight a few. If they are much heavier than the toggles I may have to pass - I don't want those few extra...
Hi all,
I want to try switching to shorter (5 ft) tree straps, in conjunction with a pair of 5 ft. suspension extensions from Arrowhead Equipment. They just have fixed eyes on each end.
I...
What is the breaking strength required for a structural ridgeline on a hammock? Is the whole weight of the person put onto the ridgeline, or does it take less load? I weigh about 165.
I found an even lighter source of cord / locks. http://www.zpacks.com/accessories/spectra_cord.shtml
Check out the 1.25mm spectra, as well as the accompanying Line Locks. At the listed weight on...
Has anyone ever used something like these, the LiteLine Mini LineLocks? I was thinking you could permanently tie one end to a ridgeline tieout, and then wrap the other end around a tree and then...
So you just use it as a normal quilt, then?
Hi all,
I'm interested in using IX material for top quilts. I see MacEntyre has a TQ available on his website that he thinks should be good to ~40.
Does anyone have any experience with this...
Thanks!
I sent him a PM.
Hey Rock,
Fair enough - I had a feeling that was the case.
You know, the more I look at your bug socks, the more I like them. That low weight is sucking me in. Ever consider selling them, or...
Hey all,
I don't have any sewing skills, and am looking to buy a Bug Net similar to the WB Traveler Bug Net, with a zipper and tapered ends, but with Nanoseeum material instead of regular noseeum....
Ike,
Any chance you could expand on how you are liking the switch to the single layer so far? Notice any difference in the lay? how much do you weigh?
Worried about mosquitoes coming up on the...
