Am building a double quilt, so the extra width of the Robic would be a plus if they feel the same
How do the Hyper D and Robic uncalandered compare in feel (for quilts)? Love the feel of the Hyper D.
flip top boxes and lots of zip lock freezer bags for small stuff (zippers, hardware, elastic cord, ribbon, etc).
You can use cord to attach like this, so its not a permanent thing.

Forgot that there is the original "I think" KAQ
http://www.teamgunnparker.com/software/pdf/kickass_quilt.pdf
I built one of these back in the day back in the day http://thru-hiker.com/projects/down_underquilt.php but my next several underquilts have been rectangular. Easier to make, surer coverage. UQ...
The speed hook will not attach directly to the aluminum thing at the top of the apex. You will need to larkshead a small loop of amsteel to that and then hook onto the loop. But yes then it will...
By my calcs, seems right that the new fabric would cut about 2 oz from old weight + 2 oz of extra down would yield published weight for old fabric UQ, normal fill.
Having built a few quilts, anytime I make the slightest change it requires time to redesign it, in cutting or sewing, the material cost difference is usually small. And mine aren't nearly as form...
Do not know of anyone making them.
Prolite gear still sells the fabric,

you could make yourself one,...

I have a prototype you can have if you PM me. Will let you know if you like the concept.

From the sticky named Ultimate DIY Project List
Hammock Stands
2x4 Portable Hammock Stand (TrailH4x) http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...ead.php?t=8758
turtlelady's Bamboo Stand (turtlelady)...
I was able to get to it at

If it frays easily, it is another indication that it is not silnylon
According to a diagram he had on his site at one time (wayback machine) the distance between tieouts is/was at that time 5'3". He does change specs occasionally so don't bet the farm on it.
Great! On the dropdown menu I don't see brown, but do see red and orange. Am I missing something?
The sniveller has an opening to allow you to wear it and is tapered. The old rsg is rectangular

Both great sources, as mentioned look at the specs, make a choice and don't look back.
sorry, I can't keep up with your expanding product line. :)
Are they the same as these?

the Hennessey safari is 12 feet and many incuding me think it is very comfortable.
I believe that it has a foot box like the old go-lites where you can stick your feet out

I'll take the mamajamba
I don't know, Gossamer Gear sells them as ground cloths so they can't be too fragile. As an underquilt protector wouldn't need to be too tough, main enemy would be sticker bushes under the hammock. ...
Have not used a non-breathable one but they are available from 2QZQ, Warbonnet and Hennessy. If I shooting for a non-double use, non breathable, I would consider making one out of polycro...
+1 to what Dutch said. Suggest you sleep in it before putting on end caps or bug net, I've found it helpful to play with spreader bar lengths to find my optimum (but I usually use hiking poles so...
I believe the shorter length is because it is designed to end at your neck, if you sleep on your side with your arms up, it might be a problem for you. But many here don't have a problem with that.
From the JRB website...

+1 to what Zilla said unless you are doing it for the challenge or learning experience or your budget is tight.

Thru hiker for one...Or maybe it's apex 1.0?
http://thru-hiker.com/materials/insulation.php
You pretty much have it, a well designed UQ for a bridge should not need shock-cord at the ends. But if I were building one, I would probably put a channel in the end so if I miscalculated in my...
Might also check at JoAnns, they have some in the drapery area I think. They are not burly though and usually white.
I picked up some like you wanted somewhere but could not find them on my...
