My body ain't straight, why should my stitches be? :)
Back driver's side of my Trailblazer. Once the wife gets a hammock, she'll have one, too...
Maybe turn your bag into a top quilt?
I am in...
Not taking anything away from HH, but I have a Superfly...worth every penny, and uber-nice with the doors.
It was all about finding "my hang" for getting a good night's sleep in my hammock. I was in a HH Explorer, then switched to a WBBB 1.7 DL and found my sweet spot a lot quicker.
I found that in...
My WBBB is a bit better than my HH Explorer when it comes to hanging...maybe it's because of the 30 degree angle with the WBBB as opposed to the "level" hang that is needed with the HH.
But like...
This is why I love dealing with the smaller vendors...awesome, Brandon!:boggle:
I used to be a ground dweller, so I had an ALPS Mountaineering 20 Degree Desert Pine - Wide bag. It kept me very warm, and did the trick...on the ground.
Once I moved to the hammock, I used it as...
Awesome instructions! I know that I can do this now. This looks just plain awesome, and your documentation is superb! Thanks for the post!
You may want something underneath you...even at 70 degrees, it can be a bit more than cool. Your weight may compress it a bit, but only you can test what's going to work for you. Recommend CCF......
Same setup here, too...love it...with the HG 0* UQ, I enjoy sleeping outside...a lot
Think that I am going to make one of those from Derek. I have a 0* UQ, plan to use it all year 'round...I figure that with night-time summer temps in the 60's and 70's, this will be a good solution,...
Worth the wait...I waited for an HH for 4 months (don't use it anymore, son wants it)
Waited about 3 1/2 weeks for the WBBB 1.9 DBL...soooooo worth it. You will love your hammock, and once you are...
Shug nailed it...my hang ain't the same as yours. I use the old adage "paddle your own canoe"...I may like my foot end higher than my head end, or a tad more play in my ridgeline, or my sides to be...
I got mine about 3 weeks after ordering it. Ordered it on the 25th of February, got it on the 15th of March. Not your typical buy-it-online-and-get-it-the-next-day transaction, but well worth the...
Welcome to the Club! Yes, the snakeskins take a couple times getting comfortable with them.
Never even thought about it, maybe drip lines?
I put the skins at the end of the hammock. I only...
Yea, it was a good night to hang...I know that you slept well, as I heard you snoring! But then again, you heard me snoring, so for the first hang of the year, we both slept pretty well!
I think...
Dang it...will take it if sale falls through
I think that's your problem...you were on the ground. The air in that mattress is as cold as the air outside, and it's sucking the warmth out of your body to try to warm the ground. Impossible feat....
I don't have a TQ, yet...looking at a Burrow 20* from HG. I have the 0* Phoenix from Adam, love it...stay really toasty. I have used my 20* synthetic bag from ALPS Mountaineering as a TQ, works, but...
I was looking at going on this, then saw the date. Not that my wife would be mad, but I made a commitment to cook for my troop's Mother's Day Breakfast fundraiser...dang it!
I was just curious if you had plans for a ridgeline and any type of bug netting. I see with your 3 choices that none of them come with either of those things.
As you research bugnets and...
No more hurting...able to swing out my legs, slip on my shoes and go do what I need to do right away, without having to "limber up" to take a constitutional...

I am a Scoutmaster, and that's the abbreviation for the term according to the BSA. I also write a Scouting blog, www.truenorthscouting.com and have 2 podcasts that are in hiatus, True...
Glad that you found the forum...
Now we just have to get you in a hammock...don't worry, we'll get that done, then the Rocking Chair patrol will have 2 members, plus Brent. Maybe we should make...
First from Wisconsin! Hope that I can start a trend!
