Because if hiking/weight is a concern you will end up spending more money in the long run buying new gear all over again.
Been there done that and got one expensive as hell T shirt to...
Shoot me a PM if you want to sell one. I've got a buddy looking to find one used.
For the ones receiving your hammocks now, what day did you guys order?
I think some of you guys are going way overboard in bear prevention. IMO.
To add the the thread I boil water under my tarp if the weather is crappy. Also enjoy breakfast hanging.....
I've had my back opened twice with a full fusion and hardware.
Is she has had a fusion and is feeling pains with screw points (which is not normal) she should consider getting the hardware taken...
I parked at Dally Gap. The total mileage plus the 4 mile spur to jacks falls came in right about 20 miles. Very easy enjoyable trip. If you follow the GPS tracks I gave you, day one has an awesome...
Exactly what you are looking for. Great trip. I just did this 2 weeks ago. Let me know if you have any questions.

Laser lites all the way.
Okay great timing. Had a few ticks on me from my last outing. Was able to remove all except one. It's head broke off in my skin. When should I start to worry and go see a doctor? Will it work...
Okay to clarify my hammock is an Ox Gear hammock. I also have an OX Gear bug-net that slides over the hammock. The hammock is 11ft long.
Ive tossed the knotty mod idea around for a while. Is...
Okay so I love my hammock but have been finding myself wanting a zippered budget hammock again. I love the fact that I can leave my detachable bugnet at home when not needed. The problem I have is...
Of course they do. They have to pay to keep the site up and running.
With fear of getting some of the details wrong, I'll PM the member who's hammock ripped and have him tell the story.
I would sway from the thought of a m50. After seeing one fail in the middle of a cold wet snowy night it just doesn't seem to be a good fabric for hanging.
If I were to do it again it would be a 68". Those extra few inches allow for less fiddle factor. I just hate to check the foot box to make sure its around my feet every time I readjust. The more...
Cold feet were an issue for me as well. I just found that I still had to check to make sure everything was "right" before laying down. With that said mine was a tad short at 62". I'm 5'11
I would look at buying a nice thermarest pad and skip that eno. The nero air is a very sweet pad that packs super small.
Or sell the gift card. Or buy something from there and resell which then...
A tq is not a something you can't hang without, however bottom insulation is a must. Get a uq or a pad and get out there hanging!! Most people start using their sleeping bags and then move to a tq....
I just did that. Started with a Phoenix and went with a sweet custom phincubator. Just sold that yesterday and put an order in for a custom incubator. The full length really is just a no fiddle...
Sold....

Sold pending funds to hangin d.
Okay guys I hate to even list this beautiful custom UQ but it needs a good home. This UQ is custom size incubator, coming it at 62". This will be a good fit from the neck down for anyone 5"9 and...
No stupid questions here. Trust me... I've already asked them all.
CCF=closed cell foam.
It's a cheap foam pad that people use for insulation in their hammock. A lot buy the blue pad...
Mine is about as long as a standard door mat. Plenty for the welcome mat but still enough to use if it gets too cold.
Can someone add Hershey's bars and graham crackers to the spreadsheet for me? I'm on my phone and it makes it a pain to edit.
You guys are making me dread setting up at 11. Hopefully I can snag my same spot as last time. I wish I could get up there sooner.
I should also get there around 11 as well. Looking forward to hanging out.
Pretty sure 50 of your post have been about your experience with HG. Why not just take the refund?
I'm thinking about bringing graham crackers and chocolate to go along with marshmallows. Maybe some liquor.
PM OrionX he runs OX Gear and makes some super sweet stuff. I have his OX shed and it gives me awesome coverage.
I'll would love to put together a Savananh hang. Let me do some scouting of good spots and I'll put something up.
That site was pretty neat. I would be game.
So potluck dinner. Is that sat? Just trying to figure put my food situation. Any suggestions of what I can bring?
I purchased the same bag but 30 degree. Excellent bag for anyone looking. Compresses really small.
I'm in.
Filler.
I bought the 30 degree 800 fill averstall from seirra. It's so sweet I don't plan on buying a tq.
What he said. It should all fit pretty easily in the bag. Hammock ,straps and tarp.
I have an OX gear hammock and it has a small stuff sack sewn into the hammock. Since it's dead in the middle my hammock never touches the ground. Take two seconds to deploy and pack up. I like not...
What camera was used. Go pro?
Was this purchased on black Friday? If so that was quick.
The savannah idea was a joke. But if you are ever interested in a savannah hang let me know. I'll put something together.
I would be intereted in how you would not be fighting gaps using a blanket with hooks at the end. Seems like an extra 20 for a jar bridge is a no brainer.
You guys don't want to come here. Just two nights ago I was still getting eaten alive my bugs laying in my backyard.
Check out member Orion X. He makes some comfy hammocks that are huge but light on weight.
Nvm. Just read you already had one in mind.
