What is thought about the Clark hammocks? Mostly there insulation, do they not use underquilts?? Wondering because I just don't hear of many folks using them. They are really pricy but I'm just...
Ended up doing a 30 mile loop in the white clouds. It was amazing!! Lots of really nice lakes. I'm heading out tonight from slc to flaming gorge, going to check out that area

I'm moving to Salt Lake City next week and my first backpacking trip will be the sawtooth loop in Idaho. Should have around 5-6 days to play. Has anyone been there and if so how's the hanging?

WarBonnet guy, I believe that is exactly what happen as boston described. I had no issue once hung "correctly" and yes I tried replying via the "contact us" all is well now. Thank you!

I used seam grip from a local outdoor store. It was kinda rubbery even after 12 hours dry time. I'll get the permatex and try again.
I haven't thought of leaving the tarp lower on one end....
I think I screwed it up! Lol I put sealer on the exterior and it didn't stick to the tarp so I just peeled it back off. I think I'll try and do the inside. But they leaked or more or less soaked...

I have ran ridgeline under tarps for years. Using. 550 cord. No leakage...... Ever. Yes silentorphous that was my suggesting thought:-)

While ganging lastnight I had the mamajamba strung over the ridge line in porch mode while watching it rain . To my astonishment I started feeling splashes of water on my face! The tarp was leaking...

I got it down to 67. You can feel that when you don't have anything underneath, for sure!

best if on the water i.e. kayaking up to a camp. there are many spots from about sugar bay north to willow bay. These are no pay camps that have been set up and cared for by passers by:-) been there...
