haha "floating" hammock
Yeah the picture is a bit small but big thumbs up** !! Looks like a good hang!
Wally world blue egg crate pad works well for me, a little cold around the shoulders sometimes but mostly okay.
I was VERY upset when i got my new tadpole.. 80% chance of rain slated on the weather channel.. yeah i setup and got ready haha it didnt rain a drop.
I hope the DIY bug never bites me, i dont have enough time as is now haha.
thanks for sharing :D
I love my snipe!! and i agree the knotty mod is great.
That tarp makes my tadpole look like a childrens toy :P
Yeah definitely takes some time to figure the best way to sleep in your hammock is. Took me 4-5 hangs trying different positions, sometimes i still side sleep sometimes not.
Read your post and immediately went to check on my hammock, lol. Mine is hole-free!, never had this problem myself.
I'm hoping to join the XLC club myself!
Noo way! I wouldnt ever try those myself, but my tarp ridgeline i use the small ones :P
Haha walking through the woods seeing someone eating in this position may be quite funny to see in person.
Ive yet to master side sleeping (I really need to), it seems for me about 80% of the time i can sleep fine but that other 20% is me waking up every few hours to re position.
I have the teardrop shaped tick key on me at all times now, a few of my fellow hangers have had them already.
Looks like fun, wish i could convince my family to come hammock with me out one night.
There not very interested in the out doors sadly.
Ive slept like the OP suggested once and the next morning my knees were killing me, never tried it again.
Shug emerys youtube videos helped me make alot of my decisions on hammock gear. :)
I agree with the above i dont like hammocks with attached bug nets either.
6'3 305 here I've got a Wilderness Logics Night Owl and i love it.
Sadly i don't have any experience with any other but my vote goes Night Owl!
Title says it all i'm looking for a poncho liner in good condition with all tieouts to make a diy underquilt.
Thanks!
Title says it all, looking for suggestions. I was really looking at a Swiss poncho...

Has a bright light with the 25 led's on the big side and a smaller 2...
Hello! I was wondering if it was safe to use a climbing rated carabiner attached directly to tree straps (through a loop) and then attached directly to the whoopie slings on my hammock.
Thanks!
Yeah ill move the post tomorrow, figured that would be my best bet.
I could face the other direction no problem.. but the view stinks haha the other way is much better.
I may hang it the normal...
Hello everyone, new around here and I have a few questions.
Firstly I was wondering about optimal distance between the trees of in my case
tree and post I'm hanging from ( currently 22 1/2 feet)....

Looking for a tadpole tarp and no see um bug net from Wilderness Logics!
