Thanks for letting us know.
10% Coupon code did not work.
Order submitted anyway.
Probably just a glitch.
Any chance of a photo of the new baffle design.
I'm about to buy a new top quilt and that sounds interesting.
Thanks.
Welcome kebab.
I'm from Edinburgh, but moved here in 2011 to get my hands on all the best gear. :D
Cheers.
In a big plastic storage box.
Thanks Eagle
Worries alleviated.
Cheers
:)
I make really good soup.
Thanks guys.
I'd add some twigs u7nder the Amsteel to protect the tree... just didn't want to be the first to try hanging half and half with Amsteel and webbing.
:)
Is it safe to use a Ti Dutch Clip with an Amsteel tree hugger extension.
Scenario would be.... massive trees that are too big for my 7' webbing tree huggers... so I break out the double eye...
If this has been asked before then at least I get points for adding to an existing thread.
My question is...
Is it safe to use an Amsteel tree hugger extension with a Ti Dutch Clip?
What I...
I was fed up with smelly jackets, zips in my face and lumpy stuff sacks.
It took me a long time to decide on a pillow... (inflatable, down, not down, neck etc...) but I finally went with the...
Thanks Bubba.
That's what I'm going to use.
Simple, efficient and effective.
This might have been posted already... (or old news)... but here is part of a reply to a recent email.
"We only have the free shipping promotion periodically throughout the year. The 5% discount...
Good stuff, Shewie.
Thanks for the great shots of the old Country... with sunshine too. :)
Cheers.
3 season yeti.
Ordered 3/3/13
Shipped 4/5/13
Not bad... considering all the other orders he is dealing with.
One look at this thread and it's obvious that Warbonnet is dealing with a glut of orders at the moment.
I ordered a 3 season Yeti on 3/3/13 and haven't heard anything yet... but I'm sure I will at...
Well... Scotland is beautiful... but it has too many laws and doesn't have many trees...
There are lots of trees in Kentucky. ;)
Apologies for the delay with my review.
I had planned a trip in July... but things got a bit complicated.
No more Scottish trips for me... It looks like you will have to settle for a review...
Cool shots.
Thanks for the tour.
I never cease to be amazed.
Hello and welcome from Edin.
Cheers.
101 ways to skin a cat.
I use 4.5" lengths of hickory from the handle ends of an old pair of drum sticks.

My one arrived today.
It's less than half the weight of my usual XXL... and it will be interesting trying out a single person sized hammock.
Looking forward to testing this one out.
Thanks...
I prefer a separate bug net.
Square. :D
Of course....

But that stuff is low quality and the normal "synthi-stomach" container is lighter than a can.
MacSweens is the best...
After watching that... haggis has never looked so good.
The "potted meat milkshake" was good though. :D
I use a 9X9 Tatonka polycotton that weighs almost 3lbs... so nobody here wants to know about that. :D
But.. it's fire resistant and doesn't crinkle.... and it weighs about a quarter of my combined...
Flat lands, forests, slow worms, blisters and highland cows.
I need to get myself to Denmark at some point.
Thanks for the vid, Torben.
Good stuff. :)
Great vid, Shug.
That's some proper weather.
Enjoyed the shots of the spider lightning crawling across the sky.
Good stuff.
Thanks for the link, Shewie... think I'll make myself a headnet and test out the material.
Let us know how you get on with the (possibly one of a kind) Midge proof WBBB.
June is peak season, Crash.
And although you are going to be exploring the Southern end of the Country... it would be wise to take a bug net of some sort.
I need to test out this permethrin...
Aye... They are persistent wee pests.... and they do love the English. :D
I've never had a problem with my generic mosquito net... but I tend to avoid the swarming months.
Can you tell me where...
Great pics of an interesting place.
I was staring at that pic of the Country Store for a good 10 minutes.
Thanks for the tour. :)
Lots of them. :)
Excellent!
Thanks for your generosity, Wintec.
I'll do a full review of the Planet Hammock when it arrives.
All the best.
:)
Thanks for the info, ldcakes... much appreciated. :)
I hope it works out too.
Cheers.
Thanks for the tour, Mac.
If all goes to plan... I'll be moving to Kentucky later this year and I hope to get myself to the Linville Gorge some time next year.
Can one of those that were there...
I like that.
Ingenious stuff.
Cool shots.
Thanks for the tour. :)
I use marine grade 316 stainless 1" rings... (available from online chandlerys)
Rated to 3527 lbs and less than a buck each.
They weigh about 13 grams each.
Just another option.
Ok... now you should send me a hammock as an apology for suggesting I am Irish. ;)
I think you send me a green one to match my curtains. :D
Very generous giveaway.. and they look like my kind of hammocks.
Thanks for the chance.
I just joined recently... but I have been using hammocks since 2005 or so.
My first set up looked like this...
http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d104/fergus2468/Dunkeldtrip13.jpg
And I am...
Good eye Gailainne... it's all from Magikelly... but from the BCUK group buys.
Thanks for the warm welcome.
It only took me three days to work out that Amsteel is Dyneema SK75.
If that means nothing to you... don't worry about it...
... it meant nothing to me three...
Thanks for the welcome.
I switched from 1" kevlar webbing and stainless shackles to polyester 1.5 ton tie down straps and stainless rings for my suspension.
The rings are rated at 1600 kilos...
Hello
I'll be lurking around looking at the different ways people have found to set up their hammocks... I've already found that there are a lot of different ideas.
Here are a couple of my set...
