I did order the 10' to test against the 11' sock.

Here is the 10' on the 11' netless. Room for an underquilt and fits better imo. Although I wouldn't want it any smaller I feel this fits fine.

I did notice the extra warmth from the dead space. Far more than a double layer hammock. Surprisingly so.

Thank you. Just trying to understand the fit before I go through the shipping. Seems like the 10' might be more snug, as long as it still allows an underquilt it would be fine.

Why wool? This will be used for winter weather and I want it to be silent for hunting. Nylon is not quiet, esp in below freezing...

I own two Kammocks now and love them despite the carabiner issue I posted.

The gate was closed - they are spring loaded and close automatically (unless its bent like these)
you can see where the gate actually snapped off the tip of one biner when it failed.

I own many hammocks and I purchased this one for my daughter. Largely due to claims of how overbuilt and safe it was.
If you own this hammock, replace the carabiners. They are not safe.

I hunt. I use a light-weight chair that has a single leg for still hunting through the woods. It does the job but it is not all that comfortable for long periods....
