That has not been my experience with Underground Quilts (undergroundquilts.com). I have gotten almost immediate email responses with thorough answers.
Are you confusing them with underquilts.com?...
So this isn't "gram counter" philosophy, but I like the weight of the carabiner to help me fling the tree strap around larger trees. Fling with one hand and catch with the other.
I've got a Noah 12 that I could part with. PM me if you're interested.

Doing so much better than healthcare.gov
Congrats on the new space and your carefully considered innovation is appreciated.
Sounds like Black Friday is going to be busy!
2nd on the Big Agnes Insulated Air Core.
Get an Instaflator for $4 to blow the thing up with dry air.
Outstanding offer from an outstanding company.

Why don't you ask them?
On the ground, I'm a restless sleeper and never get a good night's sleep.
In my hammock, I usually sleep straight through the night (OK, there's usually a pee break in there sometime).
I also like...
So does it really "taste like chicken"?
I'm really liking those new colors that you have in stock.
Decisions, decisions.....

Is that a whoopie sling larks headed to the carabiner in your photo?
A sliding knot (some use a Soloman Bar) that surrounds the adjustable loop on the whoopie and pushes up to the marlin spike toggle helps keep things secure while setting up. Once under load, my...
When in doubt, 'Wing it'.
So, who got the top bunk?

Thanks for sharing. Looks like a great area for sea kayaking.
Looks great for a long term stay. Might get one for my mother in law.
I'm very curious also. Please give us a trip report and have a great time.

You can also use the Theraband exercise tubing if shock cord isn't robust enough.
Yummy. It's like a candy store.
Are you asking about ridge line or corner guy outs and are you adverse to learning knots?
I like your idea. Maybe I'm a neatnick, but I like to keep things off of the ground also.
When you mentioned hanging from a power pole over wet ground, I feared much worse for you.
Unions aren't designed to be structural splice fittings for pipe, they are designed for holding specific pressures within the pipe. I'm not aware that there is any engineering data for the structural...
Good choices for a first setup. Mine is very similar and I've had no regrets.
Has anyone ever tried a "sleeve" of wider webbing that 1" webbing could run through? This might distribute the pressure on the bark a little more and satisfy the LNT folks.
I like Lawson Glowire instead of paracord for tarp lines
Great idea gmcttr.
I have DIY WS's that needed this.
I'm headed out to the garage right now to look through my tattered work glove collection.
Great idea!
x2 on Oware.
They make good stuff.
This is good info.
I've always been curious about hammocks on the PCT.
Hope that it works out for him.
Missed out on this.
Need to check in more often.
I've taken to using my trekking poles to help judge the distance between trees. When I hold up both poles horizontal in a big T shape, I get 12 feet from tip to tip. Allowing for another 1-2 feet on...
This is some braided nylon line that is plenty strong.
