    There is a big difference between "water repellent" and "water proof". The "scotchguard" type materials are water repellents and will not hold up under a heavy rain even with the pitch angles we use....

    Odorless mineral spirits has a lower flammability rating and a much higher flash point then Coleman fuel making it the safer solvent to use.
