Information added. It's going to be a good resource.
One thing I've found is to make sure the foot end is 6" above the head end. Then verify you have the 30* angle on the suspension.
Besides the angle make sure your foot end is 6" or so above the head end. For some reason I get a better shoulder area doing that.
I've used my Exped between the layers on my XLC. It's pretty darn comfortable.
I purchased my XLC a couple of years back and it came with the top cover. I really like it on the cooler nights when it stays a bit warmer inside.
Can you please add me to the map?

Thank you for your time!
I own a WBBB XLC and had UGQ make me a 0* Zeppelin at 83" long. It's as good a piece if gear as any thing I have and it fits perfectly. I haven't had any problems with down leaking but then again I...
I'm in. Thanks.
I'd like to enter too...
I'm 6'3' and they made me a custom 0* Zeppelin 83" long. It and my 20* Flight Jacket, also 83", are some of the best pieces of gear I own. Real quality made products...
I want to thank Paul and Missy for the great job they did on my Zeppelin 0* quilt. It's impeccably made with quality materials and stitching. I don't think there is a better quilt out there for the...
It's a great looking site that's easy to navigate too...
And yet another happy MountainGoat customer.
I had contact with Brandon on just this question and you cannot order the top at a later time. It can only be ordered at the time of your initial puchase.
I took a look at the order list on the UGQ website. There are a lot of new orders on the list and I'll bet there are more that aren't showing yet. Congrats to Paul and Missy on a great sale for a...
I received my new Flight Jacket 20* from UGQ this week. What a great piece of gear! Everything I've read about the quality of UGQ gear is true. The stitching is excellent, the baffles are evenly...
My Flight Jacket 20* is on its way as I type this. It's to be delivered on Monday. It going to be a long weekend. :)
I gave it the thumbs up.
Nice setup. I'm waiting for my UGQ Flight Jacket 20* and will be ordering the Zeppelin in a week or so. I like how the Incubator fits so I may have to rethink my choice for UQ. The pictures are...
In the words of Taj Mahal "I'm built for comfort. I ain't built for speed..."
My question is pointed more toward the weight the hammock supports. At 260 I'm over the stated weight limit of the RR. It was mentioned before there may be a set of heavy duty spreader bars. If...
I currently use a WBBB XLC Dbl 1.7 and I really like it. However that doesn't make it any easier when I see all of the people who are fans of their RR. Being 6'3" and 260 lbs holds me back from...
I'd like to get a UGQ 20* Zeppelin UQ to go with the Flight Jacket I just purchased. I'm using a WBBB XLC Dbl 1.7 and at 6'3" the UQ length is something I need to consider. The problem I have is...
After looking at my options for a top quilt I decided on a Flight Jacket 20* long wide in Burnt Orange. I'm a bit long in the tooth to camp at 0* or less and I did plenty of that in earlier days. ...
You are going to love it. It's a great piece of gear.
Thanks Brandon for the help in beating this terrible disease.
Have fun with your new setup. You're going to love it!
$100 is pretty severe. How did you send it? Just wondering....
Thanks Warbonnet Guy. I'll rely more on keeping the head lower for comfort. I will say that when I had it up it was absolutely comfortable once I found the sweet spot. :)
I have the same setup with the SF and tarp skins from Mountaingoat. The skins fit the SF perfectly and it all fits in the original SF bag.
I finally was able to hang my new XLC last night. What a great piece of gear. The only issue I had was the I couldn't get the ridge line loose enough as is shown on the WB BB video. I loosened the...
I put mine on my blue barrel I use for BWCA trips.
I did the same thing too. The tarp skins are a great addition to my SF setup AND it still fits into the carry bag. I highly recommend the MG tarp skins.
P.S. - Kat is great to deal with and...
I ordered a couple of sets of the Jacks tensioners today. I just didn't want to bother making them.
Brandon got my XLC out last week when things were getting pretty bad. He also answered a couple of my emails earlier this week. Could be that he's up to his backside in orders and hasn't been able...
And the winner is.....?
I have a set of skins coming for my Superfly. After emailing Katharina at Mountain Goat with how I wanted it made she is sending it today. It will be no problem for a Mamajamba to fit.
That's a good looking piece of gear.
Welcome to the forums!
I received it today and I'm fired up to try it!
After six weeks of waiting my WBBB XLC Dbl 1.7 arrived today. I unpacked it and did a quick once over to see what it's like. All I can say is this is a great piece of gear. The over cover came...
In the mail today were the pole mod materials I ordered last week. I'm going to set it up this weekend and see how it looks.
I received my shipping notice today and now the real wait begins. Hopefully in two days I'll have my new hammock and all will be right with the world.
Well it wasn't my XLC I received the shipping notice for.... It was my Superfly. It was immediately opened and inspected and passed with flying colors. It's a great piece of gear. I still...
I'd like to put shock cords and tie-out cord on my SF to keep the tarp pitched tight during windy and stormy days. Is there a way to do this as one piece of tie-out with the shock cord attached? Is...
I put in an order this morning for the same set up as shown by the OP. This is a great mod to the SF. I look forward to using it with my XLC.
That's a great idea and it looks super!
As did I. My XLC is still on order. I ordered it on Aug 2.
Beernuts was the nickname for my late Golden Retriever. It fit her perfectly.
