Hello VictoriaGuy,
Thank you for asking - I should not have assumed Hennessy made their hammocks in the USA. According to this thread, it depends on the model.
...
Irony...
I just sent Outdoor Gear Lab an email a few days ago, and humbly informed them that there are a number of American-made hammocks out there. I then respectfully suggested that they should...
Dave-O,
I do have a couple pics of the Dutch UQ hangers, just not handy at the moment (at work)
There is a picture here: see tip #6.

Perhaps you are thinking of the Byer Traveller Lite Hammock?
In any case, there is a comparison at:

Thanks Arbitrage for the information.
Are you at Lorraine Park Campground within Harold Parker State Forest?
I only ask because the Mass.gov website specifies May-Sept camping (see below).
Could...
I store my Incubator and Burrow in a Cocoon mesh storage bag. Well worth the price to keep your quilts in good order.

Right now... the 0 degree HG Incubator.
In terms of warmth & comfort, it made a huge difference for me going from the Therma-rest pad.
Oh...Darn Tough socks...they're awesome too.
Great Thread!
2QZQ UQP - never hit the trail without it.
I use Dutch quilt hangers - quick-set-up.
Just purchased another one for my brother - he loved it.
Would love to have one in camo.

If $25 buys you topless mode...
Then IMHO...do it.
During the colder months, I set-up my WBBB, UQ, TQ, and sock at home, then stuff them all into a sea-to-summit compression sack.
I purchased my WBBB with cinch-buckle suspension.
I made my first set of whoop-slings and attached them to the cinch buckles (as I wasn't ready to make a permanent switch).
I have also been using...
Just purchased a ThunderBird.
I had many questions before the purchase, and Randy took the time to answer them all in detail (Thanks Randy - you must have infinite patience).
Can't wait to...
Given temperature ratings, I would consider which UQ would be of more use to you.
I live, camp, and hike in Maine. Needless to say, it cold and dry at least 6 months of the year. I also sleep cold....
My brother and I are both 6'2", ~250-260 lbs.
I have a WBBB 1.7 DL (10' length, 72" width)
He has a DangerBird DL (11' length, 72" width)
I tried his DangerBird and it "seemed" to be more...
Durability, and multi-use nature of what is being packed.
Just purchased my first Jarbridge w/ Apex! Thanks Paul - can't wait to start using it.
Live in the Bangor area,
I visit Acadia monthly. Blackwoods campground has direct access to the south face of Cadillac Mtn. If you are more for the ocean, Seawall campground has access to ocean...
I'm 6'1", 265 lbs. I have a WBBB and have used my brothers HH... I recommend WBBB 1.7 DL. Good luck!
I'm in! Thanks!
Hi Debi,
What you describe is consistent with sternocleidomastoid hypertonicty (tight neck muscles that originate behind the ear and attach at the sternum). The best way to stretch them is to sit...
When needed, I've used them on my rain fly and on my sock...they work great.
Thanks Dutch.
Is it a Trangia 27 or 25 set?
Hi Dan,
Welcome from the Bangor area!
I've used one many tiimes getting down to 10 C with a thermarest sleeping pad.
I continue to use it when car camping, but it can be cumbersome if you're hiking miles.
Just purchased the HG Burrow as I was impressed with the HG Incubator.
I have used twisted mason line for prusik knots without a problem, though I have yet to deal with them in rain.

I just got dutch quilt hooks - love them.
Count me in on this!
Congrats on your WB experience!
I have used the WBBB, Superfly, and just added the WB hammock sock..couldn't be happier!
Great set-up. I use the same arrangement with the Superfly.
Thank for the videos/photos.
I had a similar problem last year. It was suggested (by this forum) to use an alcohol based hand cleansing gel which dissolved the sap nicely.
DemostiX - perhaps it would be more helpful if you addressed Debolaz's question and suggested which UQs and/or sleeping bags offer a polyamide lining?
Debolaz, because you mentioned price was an...
The CPAP/BiPAP battery I am familiar with is sold by a company called Philips Respironics.

Hello,
When taking down my WBBB this weekend, I noticed a spot of tree sap on my webbing suspension. I have since let the sap dry, but am a little unsure how to remove it. I am concerned that using...
Welcome from Bangor!
Welcome from Downeast!
Congrats on your purchase!
Up here in Maine and never had problems with mosquitoes and my 1.7 DL BB.
When I first started looking at hammocks, I was on the edge between the NX-250 vs. the WBBB 1.7 DBL. The cost of the Clarke was bothersome, but what really got me was the restocking fee.
"If you...

If you're looking for a quick fix for frozen butt syndrome, the LL Bean Outlet in town currently has quite a few discounted sleeping pads.

Thanks everyone for your advice. I think I am going to start by switching to Zing-it as I don't anticipate sleeping on my tarp. From there I will try the Klemheist knot with Zing-it or a braided...
I put up my first tarp this afternoon, using a continuous 7/64 Amsteel Blue ridgeline. Being a noob, I wasn't 100% sure of what type of line to use for the prusik knot. I ended up trying #18 twisted...
Also being a "noob", I have run into the same difficulty. I ended up using figure-9s which allows one to raise and lower a continuous ridgeline from either side.
I agree. You should have no problem putting the items you listed in the Snugpak (with room to spare in the other compartments.
Looking forward to Sunday night, Thanks!
Thanks!
Was looking for these the other day without any luck.
Got myself a couple.
Count me in - Thanks!
Hello All,
I was wondering if anyone has experience with using Hennessey Snakeskins with a WB Superfly? From what I have gathered, the "Snakeskins 4" has a larger diameter than the "XL". Can a WB...
My thanks to Wisenber for the temperature rating information. I was not aware of the differences between commercial and military temp ratings. However, I did find some sources stating weights in the...
Hello,
I just purchased my first Hammock a couple months ago, and have been trying to get out camping as much as possible. However, its getting colder here in Maine, and I am still waiting to get...
