Brilliant! As long as the boat is large enough, this should work very well.
This is an excellent deal. Too bad I already have one, or I would be all over this!
What size is the CDT?
I'm sure that others will chime in before long, but the consensus on this tarp is that it is totally worthless! The cat-cuts are far too large, meaning that the coverage is awful. Save your money and...
I have an Edge. Don't own a HH, but here is a pic of the Edge over my WBBB.

I must say I really like the Edge. It packs...
As a fellow Californian (at least for a few more months, i'm moving at the end of the summer) I bid you welcome :D
to respond to some of your questions:
An excellent choice! I don't think...
This would be my recommendation as well. Don't worry-down isn't ruined that easily!
Although I have lived in the US for over ten years now, I am originally from Hamburg. Beautiful place....on the few days a year when it doesn't rain:cursing:
Except that it should be "Gesundheit!"
Welcome to the forum!
I don't have too much to add to what has already been said, but here are two things that might help:
First, unless you live in a tropical area, I would think that you...
One thing that comes to mind: The tri-rings do have a seam where the metal bar is welded to itself (I hope that description makes sense:confused:) When I received my WB, I noticed that these seams...
Thanks for all the comments, everyone! I just placed my order for the Hudson River. After deliberating fo a while, I decided to go with the regular (omnitape & drawcord) footbox, since it seemed to...
Thanks for the comments everyone! So far, it seems to be a toss-up. Which is exactly what I had expected....
As far as I know it's sewn across the bottom and up the side. Which makes me wonder how roomy of a footbox it has....
Hi folks,
I have a question that I hope you can help me with. I am about to order a Hudson River TQ as a belated birthday gift to myself, but I can't decide whether to go with the regular footbox...
That would be my advice as well. In my humble opinion, taking untested gear (you mentioned you haven't even unwrapped it to see if all the parts are there...) out into the woods is just asking for...
Brilliant:lol::lol::lol:
Methinks you might have started a revolution:rolleyes::D
On a more serious note, my clips arrived here in CA earlier this week. I can't wait to try them out (hopefully sometime this weekend!)
Thanks again to all the folks who organized this:thumbup:
I don't know, the German seems just fine to me:rolleyes:;)
Like Brandon, I also use zing-it for my tarp guylines, and have not really experienced any problems with knots slipping so far. I've even been able to tie tautline hitches with no sign of slippage. ...
For what it's worth, I would be interested in upgrading to the new buckles as well. On the other hand, it might be worth waiting until Brandon finishes the new custom buckles he is working on...
Here is a pic of the WB 11x9:

Payment sent, and a special thanks to you for setting everything up!!
Greetings from another fellow Californian!
One thing you might want to try is to reach into the shelf with your left hand instead of your right. I find that that it's much easier to get all the way to the bottom of the shelf if I use my left...
Assuming that your wife is willing to convert to a hammock as well, it seems to me that it would be easy to detach the headboard and use it for something else.
...just my two cents
Ditto. I actually think it's easier to change pants, longjohns, etc. lying in the hammock than standing on the ground since I don't have to bother about getting in and out of my shoes.
:lol::lol:Brilliant:thumbup: This is easily the funniest post I have come across on HF so far:laugh:
I'd like four as well.
The purpose of the biner is to allow one to keep the webbing threaded through the D rings all the time. So instead of putting the strap around the tree, pulling it through the loop, walking over to...
After hiking with this pack yesterday and taking a look at some of the packs I might have bought to replace it (I was especially eyeing the Osprey Talon 22) I have decide to keep it for now. Hence,...
Now THAT does sound like Sil!
BTTT. Reducing price to $100.
If you are seriously interested in this pack, feel free to contact me via PM to make me an offer. I don't know how much lower I can go, but I'm open to suggestions.
Welcome Atlas!
Great story:D Glad to see you found your way here. By the way, a more technical ;) term for hammock people (especially ones that congregate in groups) is "Ewoks."
Bump. Reducing price to $110.
For what it's worth, I absolutely love this bag. The suspension is the coolest and most comfortable I've ever used. So far, I've used the Atmos mainly for dayhikes,...
30.5 oz sounds right for a 1.1 double. Remember that the weights on the WB homepage do not include the suspension. Brandon lists the 1.1 double as 24 oz., and the webbing suspension as 7.7, so I...
Nice pun:D
Have fun & enjoy your time off!
I agree with BillyBob58! How anyone could look at those last two pics and prefer to sleep on the ground is totally beyond me. Perhaps I'm missing something:confused: ;)
Osprey Atmos 35 w/ Osprey UL raincover
Asking $120 shipped CONUS. Paypal preferred.
Will ship in original box with all tags & packaging.
Osprey Atmos 35 (2009/newest model)
Size: Medium...
And here I thought I went nuts on my first purchase:rolleyes:  :thumbup1:
Happy hanging!
I was just about to take some pictures when I realized that the tarp Brandon uses in his "Superfly Setup" video is the new slate gray. Take a look, you'll find plenty of images there, including ones...
And for their unlimited rental...errrrm....stellar exchange policy:rolleyes:
Kirkerik-
I have one of the WB tarps in the new slategray, and while I don't have have any pictures of it set up, I do have pictures of my BB, which would appear to be made of the identical color...
Still very much a newbie myself, so I don't want to offer any expert advice but...depending on how much the pads you are using right now weigh, you might well find that two underquilts are...
Yes, well, it's definitely...different;) Today I was dayhinking in Strawberry Canyon (Right behind the football stadium) and met everything from a jogger in *bright* pink spandex to an Amish-looking...
Bezerkeley:lol:
It's a 1.1 Double. I talked to Brandon about which model to get, and given my weight (155), he recommend either a 1.1 Double or a 1.7 Single. I went with the double because I liked the option of...
Coming from the Grand Poobah of the Warbonnet Clan that is quite an honor;) It was your enthusiastic comments about this hammock that caused me to choose it over a HH and Claytor, btw:thumbup:
