So... I wanted to try a longer hammock, and the fabric store had a 50% off sale.
So I bought 4 yards of 60" ripstop, rolled the edges, and put 3" channels on the ends, and hung.

Thats the width, as a regular person would measure it, and that's pretty flat actually.

We usually use a coated polyester rather than nylon.
Nicer fabrics are polycarbonate coated polyester.
They don't streatch really, and have bias stability.
They are also light at roughtly .5-.7...
