I have both and the single is good for short stays and day trips for chillin in but go for the double with a mat in for the overnight sleep or just get a HH.

I do. It goes into a dry bag after use. this means that my bergan is organised and i don't have loose bits of kit floating around.

I have seen a lot of people using tapes and rings on the HH's now instead of the rope and tree huggers.
Does this make the hammock hang lower as I always thought that the hammock had to be tight...

Me too. but most hammocks I have I end up L to R.
