would you be interested in trading the other set for some mule tape? I have two ten foot sections.
+1 in favor of this.
Wondering if anyone has any experience along this river. Looking to do a two trip along here. Any info on good spots to camp? Is there any hiking along the river? If this doesn't work out thinking...
I got a double off a forum member that had upgraded it with amsteel loops and whoopies. I still use it most of the time. For the price I don't think anyone can go wrong.

I wonder how many are looking forward to a scenic hike through Detroit.
Time for the monthly woot.com sale on yukon hammocks.

I quick google search will show you one. There is also a forum member who made his own. They can be tricky to work with though.
Can and should are two different questions. Potential for injury or legal trouble maybe a deterrent. However I agree with Slugbait, video it if you try.
11' 6" finished length, never measured the width. The fabric is ripstop nylon that came from magna fabric. I have enough left know for matching stuff sack and pillow.
Thank you, I used a rolled...
Just finished a DIY hammock that was started about a month ago and set to the side. I will have to measure and weigh later but right now my thoughts are comfy and light. Decide to name this one...
Nicely done good fellow.
Apparently, from a quick google search, you can harvest about an ounce per goose from under there wings if you live harvest it. So for nice warm quilt you'd just have to catch about 16 of them.

My fantastic wife hand washed my Yukon double in the kitchen sink by hand just using our normal laundry soap. Lots of funk came out. I was actually surprised how dirty it was. Then I hung it to dry...
I can see it now titanium micro lp tanks by Dutch.
Welcome, there is a wealth of information here and I am sure it will help you to find a hammock to fit your needs.
I believe this would be the US equivalent.

I believe the feedback you are going to get on this will be that amsteel is slippery and does not hold knots well. If you try it and don't end up on the ground I say rock it out. I recently acquired...
welcome, from your neighbor to the south.
Pythagoras would be proud. :)
It is definitely on my list, trying to use what I have until I save up some play money to upgrade to lighter stuff.
Congrats on the new setup. I am working on a DIY 11' hammock out of some...
I got a chance to get out overnight this past weekend for the first time this year. Way over due for an evening of camp fire and hammocking. Last year I picked up a yukon double off a forum member...
+1 on the Tawny Olive. Now to come up with some funds to get me some.
This inspired me to try out the shower scrubber skins on my yukon tarp yesterday. The one I re-appropriated was to short for my tarp, and had some holes already, so not the best fit. I really like...
Awesome tarp, nice stitch work.
welcome to the forum.
Pics added
Tension seemed good, stitching appeared nice and even on both sides. I had more problems from having the wrong bobbin in when I first started with the rolled hem foot. I will try and make sure I get...
So I finished my first two hammocks this weekend both were made from poly/satin from the local craft store (I love the strange looks from women when buying yard goods). One blue 6' and a cheetah...
Seems like an interesting idea, following how this turns out.
Pros: you probably won't find a cheaper tarp, comes with all the tie out cords in bright orange. Lighter than a wally world tarp. Good amount of coverage with out going to a hex tarp. Black really...
I have a YO tarp and it is decent for what you pay. I use it over my YO double and got decent enough coverage. I also found myself between 2 trees that would not allow me to pitch it along its long...
Looking for a place to hang south of Lansing. Looking to set up a camp and do some day hikes with a group of guys from my church. Some hang and some are ground dwellers. Of course anyone who wanted...
+1 on Eddington Creek to camp, plus the water there is cold and clear. There is also a nice camp sight if you head south down the MT side from the bridge. It is about a close to the river as you can...

Merry Christmas to all.
DIY is definitely fun. Following to see the outcome.
Definitely re-appropriating this for my kids, what a clever application. Kudos to your mom for the great idea.
Been trying to figure out my thread injector before diving in to Hammocks, Tarps, and Quilts. It is a bit more difficult than I expected. I picked up some polyester satin material in a pattern my...
8 Fleas a jumping
7 sawyer mini's
6 yards of argon
5 golden pee bags, 4 Dutch buckles, 3 pairs of quilt hooks, 2 wasps a buzzing and a speed hook on a six foot lead
The tarp is pretty decent for what you pay.
Here is a picture of it pitched across the short axis over a yukon double hammock because the trees were close together.

I spent weeks searching and the best deal I have found is to get it from dutch @ http://dutchwaregear.com/25-feet-of-amsteel.html . You may find it cheaper elsewhere until you add shipping, plus...
I have an 11' yukon double and love it. I also have the yukon tarp the sell on woot. My hammock has been upgraded with amsteel loops and whoppies that make it super easy to hang.
