well I tried it out about a month ago and you were right. I got the dimensions all set and had the bamboo cut and cured; attached the hammock, put about .5 lbs in and snap they went :/ Oh well.

If you're going to hang it from a wall make sure to mount into the studs. Use an electronic stud finder or one of the magnetic ones that finds the nails in the studs to locate them. Or heck, even do...
