This is an incubator...
Kind of like a fence on a table saw, nice idea.
I have a snap topquilt and really like having the option to be able to lay it out completely flat and use it for other things beyond the hammock.
Wow, I missed these, they look awesome gonna have to try these out!
I made a hammock chair following advice from a thread on here and I use it for hunting as well. I'll never go back to the old hot seat that's for sure... That chair is looking good though.
Wow lots of pillow options thanks for the list gravity, that's great.
I'm in. Thanks much for the holiday giveaway!
Black Rock Gear makes or did make a really awesome down pillow but I believe you have to email them about availability. I think Wilderness logics also makes a down one. Heard of some people using...
Oh sweet! Im going to have to check one of these out when the bug season comes back again.
This is very cool indeed i'm going to have to give this a try, thanks for the idea.
Cool, looks good. Really enjoy the one I built a while back, looks like you have a pretty nice view to boot.
Looking good, great Xmas gift.
Suppose you could also dig a little hole below your hammock beforehand..
That foam vest is pretty interesting always amazes me what people think up.
Cool, looking good, quite the DIY area you have there
I think the biggest difference is the size it takes up in your pack and how much that matters for your pack size. The weight diff is nominal, both are great function wise.
I kind of enjoy the Russian suana kind of effect of the glorious warmth after getting really cold due to natures call.
I'll take the HG Phoenix UQ pending PM
I've seen alot of people make knife and axe sheaths from firehose material, not sure how much of it you have though. Have fun
Crawlingroad on youtube advocates a wilderness umbrella... Nutn'fancy has a video on the Blunt Umbrellas which are real quality. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vgvZQohdFs
Still not the best photograph taken with my cell phone. The material really isn't as specular (shiny) in person, there's a light right above it in my room. I think it's hard to photograph because...
They have been stepping up production over there at HG and pumping out orders, so I'd say it would be pretty quick. Maybe 2 weeks to shipping, not sure through the upcoming holidays.
Was messing around with figure 9's originally but had to fuss with their position on the guyline, so I switched over to line-loks.
Man, that Duluth is sweet. I do remember someone popping up on the forums with a product that was like a Day Hike back pack that incorporated a sewn-in parachute style hammock.
Hyperlite Mountain Gear has some pretty awesome end of the year sales on packs going at the moment... like $85 off the 2400 windrider. I believe you can call them
Derek Hansen's hammock lab has stacked hammocks.

Man, i love Dune, great series! Always wanted to make a really convincing stillsuit for halloween.
I believe HG was taking the weekend off including Friday because I had sent something there and the tracking said the business was closed on friday after attempted delivery.
Don't worry if you...
It's in the what's up with hammock gear thread mentioned near the end of the post.
I had an email from them last week saying their lead time is about 2-3 weeks i believe as of 11/19.
Depends on what you are looking for too, fabric color, what not.
I was just down taking a look at it, the current shock cord is definitely too short to be able to tie into the quilt hanger. So I'm going to have to get a longer one.
I emailed HG a while ago so...
lol Yah, man I have had some frustrating moments trying to move it with the secondary suspension. Thanks again for your help, much appreciated. :)
Thanks for all your pictures and explanation.
I do believe that my primary suspension is just not tied together through the quilt hook. I'm not actually sure that there is even enough shock cord...
See how the primary suspension just has a cordlock and does not continue up to the quilt...
No I do have the cord locks to tighten horizontly. You see your thick shockcord running out above the secondary suspension? On mine that cord just has a cord lock on it and does not connect to the...
I had sent my incubator to get the updated suspension a little while ago.
The primary suspension on the head end is just two loose ends with cord locks on them, just the secondary...
There is now an option for Wide but Short for the King Size top quilt from WL. This quilt will measure 55" wide but only 72" long.
I was inquiring after a size like this for a new top quilt and...
lol. Yah no doubt about that. I'm definitely going to take your advice and take it slow getting in and out. It does seem very solid though and I'm happy with the portability and convenience.
Thanks for the comment, do you think I should be on the lookout for lighter weight pipe? I weight about 150, i was debating between 3/4 and 1".
Well I made my first turtledog stand today and tested it out with a blackbird worked great no creaks or nothing! Thanks to everyone who contributed here especially hppyfngy, I pretty much stuck with...
I just picked up a hiker lite from BIAS for 35 bucks and I love it, also have a blackbird. For the price I think the wilderness logics tadpole for a tarp is hard to beat. Warbonnet also offers fabric...
I believe because he stripped the original coating (thus removing original logo) he re-etched the ESEE logo which actually looks pretty good judging from the pic. I sold my junglas to my buddy...
