Look at combinations of all of the suggestions, especially fine tuning with your butt's position in the bed. I have been laid up in my Blackbird the last day and a half with my back thrown out. I am still dialing my lay in so I was playing with different configurations and combinations (RL tension, foot elevation, how far into the footbox etc) and have found many very comfortable positions with no calf strain.
Happily the best therapy for my back has been the WBBB!
Keep playing and you'll get it dialed in. Maybe there will be a BC central/coastal/VCI Hangout in the future somewhere.....there are enough of us around
