You mean in the stuff sack, right?
None that I have noticed. When I take it out and set it up in the hammock and let it loft again, it seems to be very evenly lofted again. I think the steps stop casual migration of the down. You have to work to get an uneven distribution.
In our bed comforters, the steps are spaced a lot
further apart and occasionally we tend to get big humps of the down in the morning. Slapping the top of the hump once with a hand will move the down quickly and the hump is gone.
