Problem with this position is keeping warm in winter, whether in a hammock or tent.
This position ( on back or side with hand under head, elbows out to side or over head) works great in the BMBH and the MWUQ. Since the under insulation is well above my head, I'm never on a cold spot. Usually my arm in in a jacket sleeve and I have on gloves. I don't usually need the glove because my hand is under my head or pillow, with the UQ under that. And I guess as long as my head and body are warm enough, that jacket is enough for my arm. And especially if I have the quilt snapped behind my neck, the rest of me seems to stay warm enough whether on my back or side. This has worked pretty good with my BB also.
