I noticed a slight phenomenon the past couple of weekends. When using my new insulated hammock, my bodyheat seems to pass into the down beneath me, but after a while the heat radiates upwards, trapped by the bugnet. At this point I don't really need a top cover. Does everyone else experience this?
That's basically the hammock sock/pod effect, just to a lesser degree - the bugnet should be at least somewhat more breathable than DWR. Part of the reason I went away from my HH - with the bugnet trapping that heat it was WAY too hot in the summer.
