It's easy not to overreact when you are on the side of the chess board...especially when it's not your kid that is involved.
I know people who don't want to travel or fly anymore because of 9/11. Some people are afraid to go out on the trail after hearing about a crazy who has done harm to someone. IMHO, one cannot go through life being afraid. When that happens the "bad guys" have won.
Mark Twain had a wonderful quote which I'll paraphrase. He said: "I am now an old man...and I have had a great many troubles in my life...most of which never happened"
I'm glad that this all was resolved with great communication...and, now you have more potential hangers to go to the woods with. Bravo!!
