i've not herd of anyone else having that happen, but i suspect that their source probably doesn't have the highest quality control standards, so all that webbing may not be uniform. just my thoughts.
the other (i hate to say) was the speer 1" webbing. but i had it stretched quite a bit farther than normal & put a lot of stretching on a new piece of webbing all at once.
never herd of any one having the speer webbing fail them either.
BTW... i'm a little above or below 200lb in weight.
I'm using the 1" straps from strapworks that are rated at 3500 lbs. I'm VERY impressed with those straps. They look and feel beefier than than any other 1" straps I've dealt with in the past. There was also zero detectable stretch in them during the entire week, including the period of heavy rain.
