If that's the case, then you need to string your tree huggers up higher.
The only two trees close enough in my yard are on a hill...so when I string my hammock up I have to put the head end as high as I can reach, and the foot end (which is slightly down hill) I have to throw the 'biner over and around at about 10'-11' feet in order to get the correct hang-angle and not drag quilt.
