Allright, there were 2 separate issues. One was the single layer versus the double, and yes, weight is an issue. I realize the double refers to the layers and not the size. The other issue was the " generous size" of the WBBB, irregardless of how many layers. A lot of big folk like the big roomy size, is that the overkill for me? Also, to be able to effectively use the footbox, will I have to scoot way down in the hammock?
Would one of the "other" hammocks that are smaller make more sense for me? I am trying to get out of the overkill/ everything is just made too big for me thing. But I do want to be comfortable.
Shug is 70 lbs heavier and uses a single and he prefers it even whn using pads...
Will Warbonnetguy get annoyed if I switch again to a single layer? Hasn't shipped yet.
