For a specific site I suggest Roan High Knob and for several reasons:
1.5 miles from Carvers Gap and an easy walk up/down....nicely graded so
even if deep snow snowshoes will do.
There is a shelter there if you need to 'go to ground'.
The number,spacing,and size of trees near the shelter are perfect for hammocking.
And there is a water source close to the shelter.
The few negatives include the knob being the highest point for miles and is a magnet for wind. This time of year it will seem very remote
I bet few will sign up for this one but for those who do I'm bringing sirloin. Maybe MillerGear can carry the charcoal this time.
