i would say if you started on a friday evening you could finish it sunday night never doing one before. i'm sure those that make it are more comfortable with cutting and a faster at the machine.
inner layer - to measure, mark, cut darts, pin, sew I would put at 2.5 hours
inner layer with baffles - i would say 20mins to mark and cut those out and another 2 hours to sew
baffles to inner layer - i would say 1-2 hours. i was careful when sewing and took my time. I kept checking the underside to make sure i wasn't sewing the material twice.
outer layer - I would say about about 1.5 hours to measure, cut, pin and sew.
inner to outer mate - i would say about 1.5 starting at the left and sewing baffles to the right
velcro center with little baffle at butt- i would say about an hour
stuff the two 0.5 oz chambers - about an hour
gross grain pin and sew the foot end - 30mins
stuff everything except the two outer chambers - 5-7hrs, it was this long due to my method, my wife's mouth and not wanting to loose any down. i recieved mine in small 2.5bags which worked well. i stuffed them down the chambers and shook them until most was out and then hand fed the rest through my funnel.
gross grain to lenth - probably an hour each side
stuffing the outer chambers 45 mins each side
gross grain the head end - 30mins
finishing off the ends of the gross grain and adding the suspension - 1 hour
