My reasoning is, it should be easy to set up in the rain. Just run the dynaglide around the tree and back to the carabiner, click, move the prusik on the dynaglide to tighten or loosen. Can leave the whole shebang attached to the tarp in the bag. (BTW utility line and prusik i think would be the point of failure, by design)
Does anyone use this system, and can anyone point out any problems with it?
i tried that, (in the backyard), with out the s biner at the tarp d-ring. attached the utility loop directly to the d-ring and prussik to the dynaglide for adjustment. it was an effort to lose weight, so i wanted to ditch as much hardware as possible. all other connections are the same though.
at the end of the day, the crl was better for me. i dont like setting the tarp if i don't have to. and the crl is the fastest most effective way to achieve what i want out of my system.
