The Blackbird shelf is a nice hybrid...don't affect the hammock much (hardly at all if you use the tie-outs, but I don't use them) and easy to get to everything.
JustJeff beat me to the punch +1 on what he said. For mobility, the ridgeline organizer is great, especially if you make it in a loop fashion (one long tunnel pocket between each side. PapaSmurf's peak bag is great too... just make one on Friday with a little advice from him.
I have made the DIY WBBB with the shelf, and it is great... a little advanced in hammock making, but the shelf is great, and you can make it as wide and deep as you want.
