I fell on my backside twice, but I'm pretty sure it's all my own fault.
I wanted 1 inch rings to match my webbing, but ended up with 2 inch rings instead. And the bigger size of the rings, together with a second person trying to get in with me TWICE (it's a double nest hammock) made me fall on my rear end and lower back on two separate occasions. Anyway, tying an extra knot after feeding them through the rings and keeping away any other hammock dwellers whilst I'm still in there seems to do the trick for now. But since I dont trust these rings anymore, I'll need to find better ones, but as it turns out, they're really really hard to find here in Europe. If anybody can help me out regarding the rings that would be cool.
Otherwise I'm going to have to switch to a whoopie sling system all together (already have a whoopie ridge line). I'll have to use Liros Dyneema D-pro string though, since I can't find that amsteel stuff everybody is talking about here either (I think it's also dyneema string though, just a bit stronger, 3mm liros dyneema is 900kg breaking strength, the amsteel is 1100 kg if I'm correct).
I'd much rather give the ring system a second go though, since I already have everything for that setup, except the right rings... And the right rings may turn out quite somewhat cheaper than the string.
