Revival of an old thread but it applies:
I have a few old Coleman sleeping bags. One is an XL and down insulated.
I do not want to modify the bags in any way.
I am looking at two different ways of doing this:
1. opening the sleeping bag all the way and using tarp clips to attach my shock cord. Then pull the inside up against the bottom of my ENO DN.
2. When the bag is unzipped, there is a small opening below the zipper. What if I run the suspension through that hole, then zip the bag up, peapod style. I know this will mess up my diagonal lay some, but one of the bags is an XXL bag which may still give me some diagonal.
One more option: I have a Double sleeping bag which is basically two single rectangle bags zipped together. It also has the gap between the zippers. That would be huge around my hammock. I may have to test drive this before this weekend.
