Ok, so here some crude pics from my Ipod. I have a non-continious ridgeline, just like my OES MacCat Deluxe came with. Instead of tying each line around each tree, i just hook one side, walk to the other tree and attach the hook. To adjust, just hold on the ridgeline and pull on the prussik.
Dutch suggested i use 2.2 for the ridgeline and some short pieces of lash it for the prussiks. He just happened to have some 2.2 laying around and sent it along with the dutch hooks.
Now, i was not sure how many wraps i needed, so one prussik is 3 wraps and the other is 5 wraps. The 3 holds but the 5 obviously holds better.
I have updated this setup since these pics were taken. I added some heat shrink tubing around the knots and on the tail end of the ridgeline (i can not and will not try to splice).
It was dark when we got to cam every night this weekend, but i can try to get more pics tomorrow is more are needed.
Any questions, just let me know!!!
