When using the double pod system I pulked the load most of the way...backpacked it in the last 1/4 mile. Yes bulky indeed but probably good to -15 or -20F.
Condensation....there was ice formed on the inside of the hammock sock. When I woke up it looked white-slapped it with my hand and it 'snowed' inside.
Right where the MountainHardware Sleeping Bag Expander meets my face I put a piece of shamwow, it absorbs the moisture out of the breath and keeps away from the down.
It was a fun experiment ~double podding~ but far beyond 99% of my coldest hikes/hangs.
