This is exactly what I've been playing with lately.
A shock cord rail system anchored by grosgrain loops every foot or so. I'd like to remove the suspension cord from the UQ and use quilt hooks to fasten it directly to the rail system installed on the hammock.
The only thing with this is, the size of you quilt and hammock must be a pretty good match and most don't. The bigger difference between the quilt and the further I put the hook away from the quilt. Such as teh left should and right foot are very close to the quilt and the right shoulder and left foot it is further away allowing the quilt to come off the hem a couple inches and have the forgiveness of the shock cord.
Both you guys are gurus andn will probably see something I am missing though.
