Larksheading the whoopie directly to the hammock is a good idea as well. I don't like to do this though because if I want to swap the whoopie out (i.e. to a different hammock or for a different color) then there is no longer a cord in the channel. Not a big deal but personally I don't like threading channels.

This is a very good point and I will no longer suggest that people build whoopies into the hammock because of this reason.
