I use 1.2mm Tech Line from DIY Gear Supply
to gather my end channels so I can larks head the whoopie to the ends for easy removal when cleaning.
My entirely DIY kit 1.1oz single layer 9'x4' hammock with 6' dynaglyde whoopies and 1.9mm Tech line ridgeline, and 1.1oz blackbishop bag only weigh 182g/6.4oz. My 6' polyester tree straps with 2.5" toggles and 1" Dutch clips only weigh 121g/4.25oz. So going without the toggles and Dutch clips would get the total weight down to 286g/10.05oz. But going lighter (Ala Sgt. Rock) is very possible.
"If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen." 1 Peter 4:11
