Im 6'8" and the first couple hangs I had some calf pressure but once I got a good hang down its been nothing but bliss. 30-35° angle and the head several inches lower I can get a super flat lay ...no calf pressure amd plenty of room. I can lay with my legs straight or in a "4" shape. I still have some slack in the footbox too. I think its all about how you hang it.
I'm 6'-6", 230 (right now) and I love my Blackbird. What 2TallWv says is correct, it's all about hanging it properly. Definitely hang your foot end higher than the head end and you will be a happy hammocker
