I had some spare amsteel and a burning desire to splice something, so I made mine from scratch. I started with a locked brummel at one end to form a fixed eye, then another locked brummel 12" down the line. This is the short length to the left of the picture. I then did the same to create a longer length which formed the main length of RL. I fixed the two together with one of Dutch's titanium biners. Any or all of the fixed eyes could be created using knots if you dont get on with splicing.
I started with a continuous loop instead of the short length with fixed eyes, but switched for no real reason, a loop would be just as good.
The hardest part was making sure the final RL length was identical to the stock BB RL length, the buries tend to shorten the overall length by approx 1" each.
