Yes for a given size, Tera is the stronger thread.
I've used the Tera 40 before and it worked OK with my machines.
I usually use the Mara 70 for everything from 1.0 0z ripstop to sewing loops in webbing for tree straps. It is considerably stronger than the average polyester thread at the sewing stores, has all the strength needed for my uses and is less expensive than Tera 40.
I see DIY Gear has Tera 60 and 80 available now. I have not used them.
