Winding Stair Campground is on top of Winding Stair Mountain in the Ouachita National Forest.
The Perseid meteor shower peaks the night of the 12th/morning of the 13th. My plan is to arrive Sunday afternoon, get set up, get to bed early with an alarm set for oh-dark-thirty. Drink coffee, watch the sky, greet the sun, and decamp before the heat sets in. Kind of a tradition for me.
All are welcome.
Thanks for this heads-up OldGringo. I'll be in Yosemite so you can bet we will add this to our evening's schedule.
"Climb the mountains and get their good tidings.
Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.
The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy,
while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn."
