Now I have slept two days in My DB 72 DL. It is undoubtedly the best hammock I have slept in. Mainly the goodness comes with the size and good material. My height is 192 cm and weight is 125 kg.
No calf problems as sometimes in BB. And as bigger one it is better than SB somehow. It is not easy to nail why, but the sweet spot is right there, no need to wiggle. And side sleeping is truly an option and both sides go, in BB only one side is good enough. In SB there usually is some banana shape when sleeping on side.
And there is room above ones head - it is like a cathedral when lying dow. BB is bit low and with SB there is the extra work in putting the netting up.
The view is quite good, at least to the left. But not as good as in SB.
The ridge line organizer is ingenius. The space used for bottle in PapaSmurfs images is good for eye glasses. In no other hammock there has been trusty enough place for those. And because the ridgeline is so high up there organizer does not hit ones head at any point.
Weight is terrible, but maybe if I had bought a single layer version of this it would be usable in pack packing use. Now only canoe, kajak, pulk, bicycle or car will carry it.
I did not get the idea of using it with in "half bugnet half weather shield" - mode. There were bugs and they would have flown inn in that configuration. And now when using the net already when going in it is quite easy to use, no need for two sided zipper. Only downside is that one loses the full symmetry in use, there is now only one direction to sleep depending on is the bug net or weather shield in use.
This was the first time test for double EVA Pad use, and it worked, no cold shoulder syndrome anywhere.
I also tested it with Warbonnet edge tarp, but that tarp is too short.
Pics will come later...
Oh, and one more thing. I can definitely recommend the white inner layer. It is excellent in use, easy to find things and more luminous than basic green.
