yeah, no link sorry. you should be able to find a diagram of the buntline pretty easy. just make it slipped on the final step.
it's a really good knot. basically, you go around something (ring). i just go over the ring, i suppose you could do a full wrap of the ring but i have found that not to be necessary.
so over the ring and tie a slipped clove hitch (from what i can tell) onto the line rather than directly to the ring. it has held 300# in a fairly saggy hammock with no slippage at all. the amsteel is slippery enough to where a stiff yank unties the loaded knot. i could see covered line being difficult to untie this way, but the uncovered stuff seems to work well with it.
