I eat that to this day! My parents were English. I mash potatoes and then put in a can of corned beef and stir it around. Cheap and easy. Used to have steamed cabbage with it as well. My mom used to call it "Bubble and Squeek".
Gives me an idea about trying to dehydrate it for the trail.

I'm used to making bubble and squeek with leftover ham or corned beef (after St. Pattys' day) but the idea of having it with a can of corned beef takes to seasonal limitations out of it.
If it works well for dehydrating it will add another dish to the 'dehydrated food repertoire' - the more choices the better!!
