You are correct, Pasta does turns out better if it's been cooked first then dehydrated.
The Knorr's are still good in a freezer bag but I stick to the rice ones for that. I really like the Steak Fajita mix with some added beef jerky (I make the jerky myself). Simply put the jerky in your boiling water to rehydrate it first, then pour it all into the freezer bag over the rice mix. I also melt a Baby Bell cheese round over it just before I dig into it. I like it with Flat Bread on the side better than in tortillas.
