There are significant loads involved and this is NOT the same thing as planting a post for mail box at the end of the driveway.
This footing detail may be overkill but would make for a **** fine hammock stand.
Has anyone built a hammock stand with these footing?
One of my favorite hammock tress blew down yesterday in the storm and I am thinking about making a stand using these footings without a top rail.
