My trusty Swiss military poncho-cape and some crampons should handle most of the hiking weather. Road conditions would be more of a concern. Friday does look wet in the town of Roan Mtn with a high of 50. Carvers Gap would be closer to 38 or so with Roan High Knob a few degrees cooler for the high.
