Up on the balds would be fairly "exciting", but I imagine once you get over the hill and down in the trees, it would just be slogging thru the mucky muck. There appear to be a ton of places to just toss in the towel and throw up a hammock all along the trail, esp just before and after Murray shelter.
weather depending, what about a simple in and out? Friday night at RHK, sat hike 4 (?) miles to Stan Murray, sunday hike back to Carvers Gap?
